Andy's primary responsibility for Cardinal is Manager Research.

Andy joined the Cardinal team from Mercer Investment Consulting where he researched hedge fund and fund of fund strategies and headed the global Alternatives Ratings Committee. Prior to Mercer, Andy was a Hedge Fund Strategist at Allstate Insurance where he managed a portfolio of hedge fund investments. During his 17 year tenure at Allstate, Andy's responsibilities also included strategic asset allocation, fixed income risk modeling, equity index fund management and quantitative equity research.

Andy earned an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He also holds a BS in Computer Science from Northwestern University. He received his CFA charter in 1995 and his CAIA charter in 2004. He is a member of the Chicago Quantitative Alliance.

Andy enjoys outdoor activities, his favorites being biking, skiing, fishing and deer hunting. During the summer months he likes to watch baseball from the bleachers in Wrigley Field though he's a devoted fair-weather fan of all the Chicago sports teams.
